Preventing tick-borne diseases

Tick season is in full swing and there is no way to know by looking (or even microscopic evaluation) which tick might be a carrier of disease for your pet or not.

The most commonly seen infections that ticks can give your pet include Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and Lyme’s disease.  Less common infection are Babesiosis, Bartonellosis, and Hepatozoonosis.

Since treatment can be very difficult, prevention is the best way to handle tick-borne diseases. Contact us today to set up an appointment to get started with regular preventatives for your furry friends.
